KARL MAYER is the innovative market leader and driving force in the field of textile machine construction. The objective of this trade fair presence in Shanghai was to present the machines in a new design to the Chinese trade professionals. The optical predominance of the machines was offset by equally huge lamp installations on the main visitor axis. The lamps, which were four and a half metres in height, were illuminated in interchanging colours and created a very special lighting mood on the spectacular stand. The lights were manufactured in the style of traditional Chinese lanterns – a creative reference to Asian everyday culture. The ingenious touch: the highly contemporary stretch fabric on the lampshades was produced on the machines and therefore provided visitors with a demonstration of quality at the same time.
As a German manufacturer, it is important to highlight a special differentiating factor in the Asian competitive environment – that of production quality. The shipment of key elements produced in Germany, combined with the integration of Asian network partners and a personal presence on-site for technical quality control created an impressive and highly effective brand experience at the event.
