Following its exit from the mobile phone business, NOKIA has positioned itself as the big player in the network sector, specialising on a worldwide scale in the construction and servicing of telecommunication networks, as well as in a variety of Internet services. The company, which under corporate law is now wholly Finnish again, is once again portraying a Finnish identity to its public now that it has gone back to its original name NOKIA and following the integration of Alcatel-Lucent. This manifests itself in the use of plenty of white, plenty of slatted wood, Finnish quotations integrated into the stand architecture, reflecting an uncluttered and relaxed Finnish style. The gigantic media display directly in the line of vision along the central axis route – through the centre of the hall where the major IT exhibitors could be found at the MWC – communicated a clear and powerful message: NOKIA. We’re back!.

Large graphics in the form of prints in the UX area and the narrative content shown on the LED displays, created the look & feel of a world of NOKIA, which provided a platform for the ambitions of this network specialist for communicating solutions for the networks of the future to its target groups. A variety of hospitality areas provided a selection of communication interfaces with varying levels of formality for conducting discussions with existing and potential customers and underlined the pledge of the sales team – to transform the encounter between people, the brand and its products within an exhibition space into a unique experience.
